BCCI set to launch its first ever women's IPL tournament-2023.

After a grand success over the last 14 years in MEN'S IPL T20 tournament, BCCI set to launch its first ever women IPL tournament this year 2023.There will be five teams based on five cities,  which have been already selected. BCCI has already got Rs.4670 crore from the team auction. It is rumored that the auction of the players will be done in the month of February and the tournament is set to begin from March, the exact date and schedule has not been yet disclosed.

Teams, Cities and Owner of Women IPL -2023  

Five teams based on five cities are set to compete with each other in this year's women IPL, the costliest among the five is Ahmedabad which has been owned by Adani Sports line by spending a hoping 1289 crores for 10 years. The other teams are based on the cities of Delhi, Mumbai, Lucknow, and Bengaluru.

Base prices of capped and uncapped players

Three different  categories are there for the base price of the capped players, this includes Rs 50, 40 and 30 lakhs In this year's Women’s IPL 2023. If we talk about the base price of uncapped players, then it has been kept at Rs 20 and Rs 10 lakh.

Key players to be looked in auction


The team management will be looking for the best players for their team. The players who performed well in the T20 format have a high probability of getting a bid in the Women’s IPL 2023 Auction. The players that have chances of getting a higher bid at auction are:
