Pakistan to pull out of 2023 ODI world cup in India

 

Pakistan threatened not to play 2023 ODI world cup in India if India refused to travel to PAK for Asia cup 2013.

 

Asia cup venue is still to be decided since India has Refused to play in Pakistan. In this grim situation according to some sources PCB chief Najam Sethi has already said to BCCI secretary Jay Shah in ACC meeting few days back, not to play 2023 ODI world cup to be held later this year in India.

BCCI secretary already said that players life can’t be put in danger as a reason not to participate in Asia Cup 2023. According to some media reports UAE is on the frontrunner to be chosen as the venue for the Asia cup with Pakistan having the hosting rights

Since 2008, India hasn’t travelled to Pakistan and there were possibilities that the Men in Blue would travel to Pakistan after almost 15 years later this year, but currently this seems pretty uncertain, after BCCI made its decision very clear in the Asian Cricket Council meeting on Saturday.

Previous PCB chairman Ramiz Raza, had also said that Pakistan will boycott the ODI World Cup 2023 if India decides against travelling to Pakistan for the Asia Cup.
